ARR’s Resource Center for Pet Lovers!

Keeping Pets With Their Owners

ARR’s focus is on pulling at-risk dogs and cats from shelters. Rather than accepting owner surrenders, we provide resources to help you do everything possible to keep your pet with you, regardless of whether you’re moving, experiencing financial difficulties, or having behavior-related issues with your pet.

Adopting a pet should be a lifelong commitment. ARR believes that every pet deserves a happy, loving home.

When difficult circumstances arise, we encourage you to research every possibility before surrendering your furry family member. Losing a home is a traumatic experience for a pet, with potential lifelong consequences.

Remember that your pet depends on you completely for its safety, happiness, and health – just as a young child would. Pets are not disposable or replaceable items. They’re living, feeling, loving beings who deserve our best.

Please take advantage of the many resources available to help you keep your pet.
