Thank you for your interest in fostering with us.

We are a foster-based organization with no shelter facility or paid foster staff. That means our foster homes are the heart of our operation. Our foster program is intense, hands-on, and focused on saving the most vulnerable cats and kittens – many of whom are sick, injured, or undersocialized. We rely heavily on fosters not only to care for animals but to help mentor and support new fosters. Fosters are expected to provide medical and social care, attend vet visits during business hours, and support each other through mentorship and teamwork. This is a rewarding but demanding role. Our goal is to invest our time and resources into those who are committed to the mission long-term.

I understand and agree that ARR foster cats and kittens must stay indoors at all times.(Required)

I authorize any individual or agency to release the pet back to ARR if the pet is found abandoned, running at large or is brought to a shelter facility for any reason. I understand that Rescue may not return Pet to my care if Pet became lost through a breach of this agreement.(Required)

I will ensure compliance with all applicable local ordinances and state statutes regarding ownership of Pet. If I am charged with violating any such ordinance or statute while in possession of Pet, I understand that Rescue is not responsible for obtaining legal counsel for me or for paying any fines or penalties assessed.(Required)

I affirm that no member of my household has been convicted or charged with any animal welfare law violation such as hoarding, unsanitary conditions, neglect, cruelty, abandonment, etc. I affirm that no member of my household has been convicted or charged with any domestic battery or sex crime.(Required)

I acknowledge that the foster pet remains the property of ARR If I fail to return the foster pet to ARR after an approved adoptive home has been found, ARR will notify me by mail, return receipt requested, of the reclamation and ask that the pet be returned. The notice shall state clearly the circumstances under which ARR is acting and state a date when I may meet with agents of ARR to discuss the situation. After seven days from the posting of this notice, if I have not notified ARR, or have not accepted notice, legal action will be taken to retrieve the pet.(Required)

If I need to return the foster pet, I will contact ARR and keep the foster pet until ARR locates a new foster home, understanding that this can take anywhere from several days to several weeks to arrange.(Required)

I hereby release ARR, its Board of Directors, and volunteers, from any claim, cause of action, or liability for any injury or damage to self, persons, or property once the pet is in my foster care.(Required)

Any violation of the terms of this agreement shall be grounds for immediate termination of said agreement and the foster pet shall be immediately surrendered to ARR This agreement may be terminated with or without cause at the sole discretion of ARR(Required)

I agree not to hold Animal Rescue of the Rockies, its volunteers or board members responsible for any damages to persons, property, or other pets resulting from illness, scratches, bites, or any material damage.(Required)

I acknowledge and agree that animal bites or other injuries to humans and other animals do occur and that all animals can carry and transmit parasites, diseases, including zoonotic diseases that can be transferred from animals to humans. I understand that Rescue will not be responsible for the transmission or transfer of any disease or parasite to other animals or people in the household and no attempt will be made by me or anyone on my behalf to hold Rescue responsible.(Required)
