Edna was in ARR foster care for 9 months before she found her furever home, and her story is a special one! When she first got to ARR, Edna was terrified of everything, and she would barely even let her foster mom touch her (or get near her with the scary leash). She also didn’t seem to understand anything that her foster mom was saying! Even after months in foster care, Edna remained fearful.
Many people interested in Edna reached out, but none were able to provide her the home she needed, until one person came along who was not at all overwhelmed by her needs, and fell in love with her at first sight! At the meet and greet, Ricardo spoke to Edna in Spanish, and her ears instantly perked up as she paid attention to what he was saying. Edna warmed up to Ricardo quickly, and even slept in his bed the first night of her adoption! Edna finally found her furever home, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the patience she was given by her foster family and adopter!
