Buddy (‘Rufus’), adopted 1 year ago, is now a registered and certified Alliance of Therapy Dogs member! He needed to be a year old to be tested to be a therapy dog, which he achieved at one year, two months old. Buddy also earned his AKC CGC certification and also his AKC Novice Trick Dog title. He’s well on his way to a fantastic career that he dearly loves. He loves to share himself with people and other dogs. I am so proud of him. This is what can happen to all dogs not only pure bred dogs but also rescue dogs. He looks enough like a Rat Terrier that he has received his AKC PAL #. He will be sharing his job with my current therapy dog Joy who is an AKC registered Doberman Pinscher, now eight years old. She’s been forward to sharing her time doing therapy work with another dog to take part of the visits. Revisit 5 days a week and usually 2 to 3 visits per day.” – Major Happy Tails!
